Scholar Spotlight

Harvard University | Class of 2024

Desmond is one of our most successful scholars this year.
He secured full scholarships to Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, an unprecedented achievement for a high school student from Ghana.

Desmond is a graduate of Opoku Ware School where he played an integral role in the Opoku Ware Basketball team. He competed in several competitions including the Sprite Junior Basketball Competition.
He also started several initiatives including the Basketball Therapy for Kids with Autism.

When Desmond head to Harvard College this Fall, he will be the first person in his family to attend college.

Cornell University | Class of 2024

Cornelius will be pursuing Biology and Computer Science at
Cornell University this Fall on a full scholarship worth $83,000/year.
Cornelius is a first-generation student who graduated from Opoku Ware School.

His incredible hard work and industriousness saw him represent his High School at various competitions including the Sharks Quiz Competition and the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).

Cornelius loves to code and pursue all things challenging.
